I am proud and honoured to be the headteacher of Allerton Bywater Primary School (ABPS.)

It’s clear to me that ABPS is a special place, with children eager to succeed and a team of passionate and dedicated staff.

We are an ambitious, two-form entry primary school, proudly serving our local community in East Leeds. We are also part of Brigshaw Learning Partnership - a Multi-Academy Trust of 7 schools educating over 3000 children.

Our mission, ‘through creativity, challenge and connection, we unlock our true potential,’ is at the heart of all we do at ABPS and our core values of confidence, aspiration, respect, equality, integrity and resilience are fundamental. Everything we do at ABPS is underpinned by these values, ensuring that each child is known, cared for and thrives.

We work relentlessly, every day, to create an exceptional school. A school with pupils who are happy, confident, well-informed, and socially responsible, with a love of learning, a thirst for knowledge and a true sense of self-worth. A school we’re all proud to be a part.

We prioritise delivering the highest quality teaching and learning; an enthralling, thought provoking and knowledge rich curriculum and a safe space for reflection and personal growth.

Our children are of course, our focus so we make sure their opinions are listened to, appreciated and acted upon so they can help grow and shape our school for the future.

We value everyone connected with our school too. Particularly, the fabulous Friends of Allerton Bywater (FAB) who help the school raise valuable funds through events and fundraisers.

Alongside our breakfast-club (from 7:30am) and after-school-club (until 5:30pm Mon-Thurs and 4:45pm on a  Friday), we offer an exciting range of extra-curricular activities that help to reinforce all that we stand for.

I think our school is AMAZING. But don’t just take my word for it - the only way to truly find out is by walking through the door and sampling the loving, purposeful and determined atmosphere we’ve created.
