My name is Richard Cairns and I am the Headteacher of Allerton Bywater Primary. I may be biased but I think Allerton Bywater is a brilliant school. We value everyone connected with the school and place great importance on the successes of all our pupils. In July 2015 OFSTED reported that "Allerton Bywater Primary School is a good school where teaching is good and sometimes better"
OFSTED were absolutely right.
We work hard in school to ensure all our children are actively engaged in learning and our innovative curriculum has been designed to ensure all children are learning in stimulating lessons. A number of extra curricular clubs ensures that our children have access to a range of exciting and stimulating activities from football, dancing, choir and many more.
I believe that schools are at the heart of any community and as a school we pride ourselves in involving not just parents, but the wider community in the day to day running of our school. A parent commented during the recent OFSTED inspection saying "The school is welcoming. It embraces its role in the community as a place that values and celebrates diversity”
As well as FAB (Friends of Allerton Bywater) who help the school raise valuable funds throughout the year, we also have an increasing army of volunteer helpers who support us daily.
Our most important people are our children. Their opinions are listened to and valued through School Council where they have regular meetings and discuss a wide range of issues every few weeks.
I said at the start that Allerton Bywater is a brilliant school. The only true way to find out how brilliant it is, is to walk through the door yourself and sample the atmosphere that we have created for our children. However if you can't visit please do enjoy looking around our website to get a flavour of what we offer.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school and community.
